Jane Johannsen

Raised in the Ozark Mountains by two artists, I grew up surrounded by creativity and developed a lifelong love of the visual arts. In 2010, I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Northwest Missouri State University. Over the past decade, I’ve devoted my practice primarily to watercolor — playing with form, color, and light.

Now living in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, I continue to find inspiration in my surroundings. The vibrant flora and ever-changing colors of the landscape bring fresh perspective and energy to my work.
